How to Get Traffic to Your Blog

I've noticed that the links that get the most traffic to my blog(s) often happen to be things that I've written about that I've had trouble finding elsewhere. This works as follows:

1) I search for something on Google, and can't find it easily
2) I do a blog entry on said topic
3) The hits come

The cool thing about this approach to blogging is that in addition to getting hits, I end up blogging about things that interest me and (perhaps most importantly) I learn about the topic in question in the process.

If you build it they will come. :)

Our New House

Here is a picture of our new house:

It is an "ABC" house. During WWII (and shortly after) the government built a large number of houses in Richland, WA - in order to provide housing for those who were involved in the Manhattan project. Each floor plan had a designated letter. Our particular plan is called an "R" house. A total of 146 "R" houses were built. "R" houses were commonly occupied by army officers with family. Our house was built in 1948.

New Year's Resolutions

Here are my new year's resolutions:

1) To finish reading through the Bible (~70% left)
2) To finish memorizing the book of James.
3) To lose 20 pounds by June 1. I have some money riding on this one.
4) To buy a house. It is time.
5) To spend more time with my family. Speaking of which, it's time to go. :)

Happy new year everyone!

What's the difference between 52.2% and 52.7%?

One is a "slim majority".
One is a "mandate for change".
